Hola Elke!
I think I have been lucky with my Spanish classes because I have been
a Montessori teacher for 6 years now, and I have worked in 3 different
school in these years. That got me in touch with lots of parents!
I also taught Spanish at all these Montessori schools. So when I
joined Music Lingua I had a bunch of parents already lined up for
after school Spanish Classes.
That will be my Advertisement idea. To go to all the Montessori
schools in your area and let parents know about your German classes.
Usually Montessori parents are willing to pay for a private education
and lots of after school activities. They understand that the younger
the students the easier to learn and that learning a second language
is part of the cultural curriculum.
Most Montessori Schools will let you advertise in their Newsletter or
post an ad on their community boards. Have you consider teaching
German in a school? You could offer to join their classrooms 30 min. a
week!!! Most of them teach a second or a third language!!!
And by the way, way to go on all your advertising. After this first
session I think I’m going to have to do much more advertising to get
students in January!!!
Good luck!!!!
Andrea Riches 🙂
